Do I need a data or internet connection to use the RAHI app?
Yes, for the RAHI app to function properly, you generally need an active data or internet connection. The app relies on internet connectivity to perform various functions, including real-time location tracking, communication with other users, and data synchronisation. Here's how internet connectivity is typically used:
Real-Time Location Tracking: To provide live location updates, the app requires an internet connection to transmit and receive location data.
Communication: The app may use the internet for sending messages, notifications, and SOS alerts to your designated contacts.
Data Synchronisation: Internet connectivity is essential for syncing your location data, settings, and preferences with the RAHI server and other devices if you're using hardware components.
While an internet connection is essential for the app's primary functionality, it's worth noting that some aspects of the app may work with lower or intermittent connectivity, depending on the specific features and hardware integration. However, for the most reliable and robust performance, having a data or internet connection is recommended.
