Tech Counsellor ® to organise International Webinar & Workshop in collaboration with Tula’s Institute on ‘IoT for COVID – 19’ and ‘Online Classes Selection’, sponsored by Uttarakhand Technical University & TEQIP – III.

With more than half a billion internet subscribers, India is riding high on the digital front. All facets of the economy are leveraging technology for wider reach, convenience, and effectiveness. The sudden outbreak of COVID-19 has made Digital and Social Distancing the most important part of our daily life.

The government of India is taking all necessary steps to ensure that we are prepared well to face the challenge and threat posed by the growing pandemic of Corona Virus. The outbreak has led to the unprecedented enforcement of lockdown throughout the country. The National Policy on Software Products-2019 has also a vision to drive the rise of India as a Software Product Nation, so as to make India as a global player in development, production, and supply of innovative and efficient Software Products, thus facilitating the growth across the entire spectrum of the Information Communication Technology (ICT) sector. COVID-19 has enforced us to consider technology, not just as a tool to ease the lifestyle but additionally has given the idea to go for contactless devices, making the Internet of Things (IoT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) as one of the biggest technological advancement we have. With the development of technologies like AI and IoT, these techs will enable us to go for contactless by making such new innovation and will boost the R&D as well as will help in stopping the spread of community decreases.

Tech Counsellor ® in collaboration with Tula’s Institute, Dehradun, organised one of the First International Webinar on 16th May 2020 in association with Ramanujan Academy of Science and Technology; Yuvayana Tech & Craft Private Limited, Swachh Neer, Kaviraj Foundation and Technology Research & Innovation Development Society (TRIDS), which was sponsored by Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme (TEQIP – III) and Uttarakhand Technical University.

Guest experts for the Webinar were Mr. Vinay Chowdary, Assistant Professor, University of Petroleum and Energy Studies, Dehradun; Dr. Amit Kumar Mondal, Assistant Professor, Manipal Academy of Higher Education, UAE, Dubai; and Er. Ajit Kumar Yadav, Founder & Director, Ramanujan Academy of Science & Technology and Senior Researcher at NISAR (NASA – ISRO Project).

The announcement of the event was done on 06th of May and online registration was started the same day which was open till 12th of May 2020. A total of 307 participants were registered for the event out of which 67 were PhDs, 200+ were from the PG Background, and other includes M.Phil, Science and Arts etc.

Online webinar held on 16th of May 2020 with the first batch from 09:30 AM to 01 PM and second batch 1:30 PM to 05:00 PM for three sessions in each batch.  The event was successfully attended by the participants from 5 countries around the globe which includes China, Dubai, Indonesia, Uman, India and from 11 states of the India which includes Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Andhra Pradesh, UP, Uttarakhand, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu etc. As per the feedback from the participants, the event was highly interactive, informative and was beyond the expectations.

Report on one month International Internship Training Program

Tula’s Institute and Tech Counsellor were designated with the responsibility of holding ‘the prestigious International Training and Internship Program on ‘Opportunities for R&D and Tech-Driven Startup’ organised from 20th June 2020 to 15th July 2020. The program was co-organised by Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences ‘Deemed to be University’ Karad, Maharashtra; sponsored by Uttarakhand Technical University & TEQIP – III. Additionally, the program received much organisational support as Technical, Knowledge and CSR Partner, which includes Yuvayana Tech & Craft P. Ltd, Ramanujan Academy of Science and Technology, Kaviraj Foundation, Swachh Neer, SEWA, Boudhik Ventures Private Limited.

The program started and conducted with the vision of contributing towards the government of India vision an mission, ‘making India a global R&D hub’. Under the umbrella of DISA & AVNI, the program had 22 sessions which include on the multidisciplinary domain and had 10+ practical session. The sessions included online hands-on learning presentations and training by 18 leading Domain-specific experts from various countries, reputed organisation and scientific labs. The session experts were well-recognised experts from the Industry and Academic world.

Online sessions and training were conducted using the various online platform including Google Meet, GoToMeeting, Stream Yard, Facebook and YouTube. The strong technical support since the inception, implementation and for successful completion of the program made it a huge success. The most highlighted success of the event was as follows:

  • More than 1200+ participants had shown the interest for the program
  • 11 Institution collaborated for this one month extensive R&D and Startup focused program, which was of first of its kind towards boosting startup ecosystem.
  • 15,000+ views on Facebook and 3,300+ Views on YouTube sessions for this program, till date (16 July 2020).
  • Participants from almost all states of India, and from 6 Asian Countries attended the program.

Sessions included the following 18 experts and their vast knowledge and expertise on the domain provided a new horizon of opportunities and ideas to work upon to all the participants. In the short span of one month, the experts covered most of the major topic of academic and industrial importance which have huge potential to turn ideas into innovations; and innovations into the business. The detailed sessions, hands-on learning experience and the opportunity for the audience to interact in live sessions created great learning space

  18. Dr. Anuj Bhardwaj, Professor-Computer Science & Engineering, Chandigarh University, Punjab, India, on the topic NAAC Vision for Experiential Learning Approach for Cultivating Innovation Amongst Students.
  19. Yasodhan Mandke, Senior Technical Research Advisor, Tech Counsellor & Independent Industry Consultant, Maharashtra, India interacted with participants during live sessions and discussed on the topic Astrophotonics -Minitarized chips for vast Space, R&D, commercialization & application to astronomy for space exploration.
  20. Renu Thapliyal, Co-Founder & Director, Tech Counsellor, Founding Member, Kaviraj Foundation, Uttarakhand, India interacted with participants during live sessions and discussed on the topic R&D and R&I ecosystem opportunities on technology development for next-generation entrepreneurs.

The success of the program is mostly derived from the fact that ‘how many participants actively participated the program’; despite such a hectic and long program, the International Internship program received 73% – 77% of attendance on an average in all session. Total of 190+ participants registered on this funded program and have participated on the online exam as well which was conducted on 15th of July 2020. Questions based on the whole one month program were asked from the participants for which automated online result system was created.

Vote of thanks from Tulas team was presented by Dr. Sunil Semwal, Organising Secretary of the Program, he emphasized to have such more program in coming month for the benefits of the students and so they may start thinking on turning their ideas into a successful business. He also shared about the Tula’s Business Incubator Centre.

ABC with Indian Scientist

Joint Initiative of Tech Counsellor, Uttarakhand; Ramanujan Academy of Science and Technology, Maharashtra; Yuvayana Tech and Craft Private Limited, Uttar Pradesh;  to bring learning while kids read and towards inspiring next-generation scientists.

Children grow and develop rapidly in their first five years across the four main areas of development. These areas are motor (physical), language and communication, cognitive and social/emotional. To promote your child’s cognitive development, it is important that you actively engage in quality interactions on a daily basis. This is with an approach that till the age of  08 plays a crucial role for the cognitive brain development among kids.

Kids get attracted to what they read, listen and see. Being a mother of a young budding star, she believes, you can’t force them to do something which you are not doing. Renu holds 9 IPs including 4 Patents, 2 Copyrights and 4 Trademarks.

Ajit Kumar Yadav, a researcher and academician by profession, proud father of Preet, his 8-year-old daughter. He is working on developing the educational
course modules for the next-generation scientist through his initiative Ramanujan Academy. His work on the NASA-ISRO Synthetic Aperture Radar project was
acknowledged and awarded as the top 3 best papers at National Conference (Virtual) organised by SAC, ISRO in 2020.

Parag Verma, an academician with 10+ years of experience, having core interest in AI, Robotics, and Computer Science. with 5+ books as author, holds 6 Patents, 30+ research articles in AI, ML, DL, Robotics, and 30+ professional certification courses on AI, ML, Deep Learning etc. He has worked on a Department of Science and Technology, Government of India funded project for Rural Women Technology Park where he successfully demonstrated the computer applicability for community and women at Rural Uttarakhand.

Ajit, Renu and Parag have been working on developing tools and modules for the development of the cognitive brain, study material to teach the Tier II/III rural areas, women, kids and have been impacting the community through their social initiatives.
